Four things you do not need to know to bet on U.C. Davis tonight

By Michelle SportsX

Knowing the name of the official mascot for U.C. Davis is GunRock is not necessary to place your bet on the upcoming matchup between U.C. Davis and U.C. Santa Barbara, even if it is an interesting story. Nor is knowing the mascot is a mustang, named in honor of a cavalry horse that dates back t o1921, going to do you any good, when it comes to choosing a winner, but again, it’s a pretty interesting tidbit of information. Understanding that the team’s name, Aggies, stems from it’s agricultural roots, is something else that’s pretty interesting but also not something that will help you to know whose going to win tonight. Lastly, learning that there has been support by the student body to change the official mascot to a cow, won’t do you any good, in helping to understand tonight’s matchup.

What will help you to make an informed decision about tonight’s upcoming game between the UC Davis Aggies, and UC Santa Barbara Gauchos is understanding that these two teams will be participating in what might be a shoot out that comes down to the wire and that’s why choosing a side might be tough. The odds put the Aggies at -2, but this one could come down to the buzzer, and it could be a one point game when everything is said and done, and it’s near impossible to know which side will end up on the upside.

So that being said, it’s as good a time as any, to consider looking at the total, which as the time of this writing is hovering at 141 or possibly take the Gauchos to cover, knowing that it’s a tough call, but whenever a dog might come out on top, you’re better off taking the dog.

UC Davis won their last game in overtime by a score of 105-104 against Long Beach State. The Aggies are on a streak, winning their last four games in a row, so it’s tough to go against a winning streak, only again keep in mind Long Beach State kept it close and the Aggies did not cover.

Some facts to consider when placing your bet include the Over is 9-1 in UC Santa Barbara last 10 road games and the team is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games. UCSB is 11-4 ATS in their last 15 Thursday games. Over is 12-3 in UC Davis last 15 overall and over is 6-2 in UC Davis last 8 vs. Big West. Something to keep in mind, UC Davis is at home for this matchup and they are 19-7-3 ATS in their last 29 home games.

Best Bet – Take the Over, stay clear of the side because this side might be a bit too close to call.
